STEINERT CHUTEC®
STEINERT CHUTEC efficiently recycles heavy non-ferrous metals using X-ray fluorescence.
Recovery by type of heavy metal concentrates from waste incineration or shredder scrap using XRF
In metal analysis, X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF) has been a standard method for determining elemental composition for quite a while. With STEINERT CHUTEC, X-ray fluorescence (XRF) as a technology in its further development is also available for sorting metals. Our chute system combines XRF signals with 3D information in a proven way to ensure precise classification and separation of scrap pieces. Sorting can be used to produce concentrates of different types of metal, which are qualitatively suitable for direct processing in smelting plants. This refinement level thus makes an important contribution to returning metals to the raw material cycle.
Our chute machine mainly handles materials with smaller grain sizes and fractions with a significant proportion of rolling parts. For optimum material preparation, a zig-zag classifier and a combination with a cyclone are available as an option. Here conditioning by separation of finest grain and dust is implemented directly in the material feed.
To improve the sorting result, a narrow classification is required to produce narrow grain bands. High homogeneity of the grain shape also has a very positive effect on sorting performance.
The STEINERT CHUTEC is available in 1,000 mm or 1,400 mm working widths.
