MSort® AG
The number one choice for heavy-duty colour sorting of damp bulk materials in mining and raw material recycling
Our MSort AG is suitable for sorting raw materials as well as industrial minerals in mining at temperatures of between -5 and +35°C. It allows damp bulk materials, such as concrete, brick, asphalt and minerals, such as quartz, marble, barite, limestone, calcite and dolomite, to be efficiently colour sorted within a fraction range of 30 to 250 mm. The machine also produces ultra-pure colour fractions from ores, including copper oxide, manganese ore and veins of quartz containing precious metals.
Numerous sorting options can be implemented thanks to high-resolution camera technology (in the visible wavelength range) and flexible software. A feeder and vibrating conveyor evenly feed the material to the chute, from where it is detected in free fall. A powerful sensor deploys parallel processor technology to analyse colour, shape, brightness and transparency using the reflected light method. Precise high-speed compressed air pulses undertake the sorting.
It is particularly worth noting that detecting material in free fall allows wet and heavily contaminated material to be processed without the need for technical drying.
