MSort® AH

For even better precision: two cameras for accurate heavy-duty colour sorting and even greater purity

The MSort AH delivers particularly reliable colour sorting of damp bulk materials, such as concrete, brick and asphalt, in a particle range of 30 to 250 mm. When used in mining, the system detects and sorts industrial minerals, such as quartz, marble, barite, limestone, calcite and dolomite, by colour and with great precision. It operates at temperatures of between -5 and +35°C. The system also enables the production of ultra-pure colour fractions from ores, such as copper oxide, manganese ore and veins of quartz containing precious metals.

Varied colour sorting options can be implemented thanks to high-resolution camera technology (in the visible wavelength range) and flexible software. The two cameras are positioned on both sides and detect the material at an optimum image resolution to ensure precise sorting. The feeder and vibrating conveyor ensures that the material is distributed evenly on the chute. Once it leaves the chute, the material is detected by a colour camera in free fall.

Deploying parallel processor technology, the sensor analyses the colour, shape, brightness and transparency using the reflected light method. Rapid compressed air pulses undertake the sorting with a high degree of efficiency.

The chute sorting system wins over customers with its durability, need for very little maintenance and free-fall detection function, which enables wet and contaminated material to be sorted without technical drying.

The benefits to you at a glance:

  • Particularly effective evacuation with minimal loss of product using two cameras
  • Large rejection box, extremely solid wear protection
  • Evaluation electronics with protection against overload
  • Chute sorting system
  • Fraction size: 30–250 mm
  • Requires little maintenance and is easy to service
  • Flexibility ensured through optional individual control of valves and scope for adjusting height of detection to particle size
  • Also available: Wear protection, special voltage; active cooling (up to +45°C)
