MSort® AX

The wet sorting specialist for a particle size of 6 mm and above

The MSort AX is the best choice when it comes to colour sorting both wet and dry hollow or flat glass. It separates glass in a particle range of 6 – 60 mm with the utmost precision.

The material is fed to the sorter via a conveyance and distribution feeder, guided to the chute, accelerated there and directed into the detection zone. Detection is carried out when the material is in free fall, which allows dirt and other impurities to be largely eliminated. The system scans the material curtain instantly. State-of-the-art parallel processor technology is used for image evaluation.

The sensor detects true colours and colour intensity in detail and can also use different forms of exposure within the range of visible light to detect transparency. This allows sorting to be carried out using the transmitted light method. At the same time, the sensor also detects different sorting criteria (e.g., shape and colour) and can combine these in any way.

Once detection is complete, the flows of product are separated using high-speed compressed air pulses. The evacuation takes milliseconds.

The recorded data can also be used for statistical/analytical purposes independently of the sorting process.

There is also the option to add inductive detection to sort out ferrous and non-ferrous metals at levels of sensitivity set by the user. This can be retrofitted at any time if required.

The benefits to you at a glance:

  • Machine configuration especially for very wet and dirty glass
  • Effective separation of impurities in free fall
  • Very robust sorting system designed for industry
  • Chute sorting system
  • Fraction size: 6 – 60 mm
  • Requires little maintenance and is easy to service
  • Also available: all-metal detection
