MSort® AF

The MSort AF can handle fine sorting (4 mm and higher) with incredible accuracy

The MSort AF is the perfect choice for dry colour sorting of bulk material. It separates glass, PET, minerals, sea salt and rock salt in a particle range of 4–60 mm with maximum precision. The chute sorting system is also able to accurately detect plastic granulates, ceramic, marble, quartz and plastic flakes.

The material is passed to the sorter via a conveyance and distribution feeder. Then on the chute, the sorted product is further accelerated and guided into the detection area.

The detection system scans the material curtain instantly. Here, parallel processor technology is used to evaluate the images, taking account of colour, shape and brightness. The sensor detects the true colours and brightness in detail. It uses different forms of exposure within the range of visible light to also detect transparency and is therefore also able to sort using the transmitted light method.

What’s more, the sensor in the parallel process detects different sorting criteria (e.g. shape and colour) and can combine these in any way as required. It goes without saying that the recorded data can also be used for statistical and/or analytical purposes separately from the sorting process.

Once detection is complete, the flows of product are separated by means of a high-speed compressed air pulse. Materials are ejected in a matter of milliseconds.

Inductive detection and therefore the removal of ferrous and non-ferrous metals at levels of sensitivity set by the user are available as options or can be retrofitted as required.

The benefits to you at a glance:

  • Fine nozzle pattern for effective ejection with very little lost product
  • Evaluation electronics with protection against overload
  • Very compact design
  • Chute sorting system
  • Fraction size: 4-60 mm
  • Requires little maintenance and is easy to service
  • Available with all-metal detection as an option
