Element 25 uses STEINERT sensor sorters for their Butcherbird operation

STEINERT Australia is pleased to announce that Element 25 Limited have acquired two STEINERT KSS | XT sensor sorters - fitted with multiple sensors – that are now installed at their Butcherbird operation. The sorters are used to upgrade the high-quality manganese concentrate for export markets.

The Butcherbird operation has a proven and probable manganese ore reserve of 50.55 million tonnes at an average grade of 10.3 % Mn for 5.22 million tonnes of contained manganese.

Using STEINERT ore sensor sorters and upgrading the washed feed material to an average grade of >32% Mn., Element 25's first ore consignment has been shipped and the second is scheduled to be loaded at Port Hedland in late August. Current annual production is estimated at 365,000t of manganese ore concentrate with a 40-year mine life for stage-1 of the operation.

STEINERT Australia’s head office is located in Melbourne, Victoria, with a satellite office based in Perth, Western Australia. With Laboratory, technical, sales, and service support offered by the Perth office, closure of state borders due to COVID-19 restrictions did not affect commissioning or optimisation of the Western Australia operations.

STEINERT Australia would like to thank Element 25 for their decision and for their partnership during this exciting stage of the project and is looking forward to a long term, mutually beneficial relationship.
